well i took my midtour recently. after being here for so long i definately needed a break. and it may have been a bit costly, but it was worth every penny. it started off kinda terrible. i stayed up from wednesday morning to mid thursday to get on a decent sleep schedule for my adjustment. and i had a 15 hour plane ride. but, it was for the best.
once i got to atlanta, i met up with 8-bit josh so we could kick off the ga08. first i had to get my rental car. that almost didnt happen because i lost the paperwork a million times. and that was just between the the 10 minutes of picking it up and getting to the rental place. in the end, i got to the rental place...and of course i didnt have the papers. and we kinda stole the car too. josh noticed that the keys were in the car and suggested we just take it. so we did. thats how 10-bit does it. then we killed the next few hours with random acts of awesomeness while we waited for team us chris garcia. once we got the chris, it was time to head off to ellijay. i guess thats pretty much home of the ga gatherings now. juji made it out the next day. spike wasnt around this year. everyone was sad. but we pressed on...
somewhere in the ga, we managed to see a suburban legends/less than jake/mustard plug show, a rancid show, and of course a sega session. the concerts were awesome. the fat ska guy. juji in the pit. team us being just as sexy as ever. the gym session was pretty all right too. i hadnt practiced anything since the last time i was in ga. it was clearly evident. i picked up rock band while we were there too. it seemed like a good idea and as it turns out, it was. we had some good times with that. rocking out to some 'more than a feeling' was damn awesome. and apparently, justin named one of his cats tristan. thats pretty all right.
the time went by quickly as was expected. but while it lasted, it was quite bitchin. the last night was the rancid show. we were all kinds of tired before the show and got back crazy late. however, we had to wake up 2 or 3 hours later to start the next day. that day definately had some fail in it. i took chris to the airport then headed down to warner robins to see people. then drove to moms house...grr....thinking about that day still makes me kinda unhappy. i wasnt really happy before i thought about it, but im further from it now. it was cool to see the people though. but the drive to moms house...wow...i could barely stay awake and had to pull over and go to sleep. twice.
being at moms house was a nice change, but at the same time it wasnt. i was working with a completely clear agenda so i didnt have anything to do. lots of sitting around. lots of burnout and n+. so i was bored a lot, but sometimes its nice to not have to do anything. 30 days off. thats nice.
i took a trip down to team us hq for warped tour. damn it was hot. like, searing heat hot. but it was a good time. took some sexy pictures and got to rock out. nobody died this time. i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. regardless, we still made our presence known. a day or two later we had a nice little gym session. not like a jumpy, flippy gym. a big ass dude gym. we did that in ga too, but i forgot to mention that. until now. but yeah. it was a good time.
once i was back in sc, i didnt have much time left in the states. i was not looking forward to the trip back here. i always though being here was pretty bad, but it got progressivly worse from the time i arrived. so when i left, i guess i didnt fully reralize how bad it was. but when i was in the states i did...korea sucks. a lot. a damn lot. theres some all right people here. but korea itself...im not feeling it.
so i came back. and here i am. back to sitting in my room. back to being bored. back to all this.
damn, dude...damn...
